Amarillo Firm Wins $33.3 Million Order For Osprey Avionics Support

Texas Business reports: An Amarillo firm won a $33.3 million order to work on Osprey avionics.

Bell-Boeing Joint Project Office, Amarillo, Texas, received a $33,343,681 cost-plus-fixed-fee delivery order against a previously issued basic ordering agreement for non-recurring efforts and flight test aircraft modifications for the Joint and Allied Threat Awareness System and Radar Warning Receiver integration in support of the MV-22B Osprey aircraft. 

Work will be performed in Philadelphia, Pa. (96 percent); Fort Walton Beach, Fla. (3 percent); and St. Louis, Mo. (1 percent). 

Work is expected to be completed in February 2016. 

Contract funds in the amount of $6,526,986 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.

 The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.
