Amarillo Firm Wins $74.3 Million Military Aircraft Contract Increase

Texas Business reports:  An Amarillo firm won a $74.3 million contract change to a military jet contract, the U.S. Department of Defense announced.

Bell Boeing Joint Project Office of Amarillo, Texas, received a $74,399,436 modification to a previously awarded fixed-price-incentive-fee V-22 multi-year production contract to provide one additional CV-22 combat loss replacement aircraft for the Air Force. 

Work will be performed in Philadelphia, Pa. (56 percent); Amarillo, Texas (43 percent); and El Paso, Texas (1 percent). 

Work is expected to be completed in November 2014. 

Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. 

The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., handled the contract.
