Austin Area Firm Wins $9.5 Million Defense Contract

 Texas Business reports:  A Travis County firm won a $9.5 million contract for training in improvised explosive device situations, according to the U.S. Department of Defense.

Bristlecone Ventures LLC of Manor, Texas, received a $9,521,902 contract modification to exercise the option for phase four of the Counter Improvised Explosive Device Military Operations in Urban Terrain Training Complex at Melrose Air Force Range.

 The location of the performance is Melrose Air Force Range in Floyd, N.M.

The work is to be completed by Oct. 3, 2013. 

The 27th Special Operations Contracting Squadron, Cannon Air Force Base, N.M., handled the contract.
