California Firm To Remediate Texas’ Longhorn Army Ammo Plant

 Texas Business reports:  A California firm won a $7.4 million contract to recondition the site of an East Texas ammo plant, the U.S. Department of Defense announced.

AECOM Technical Services Inc., Los Angeles, California, received a $7,424,946 firm-fixed-price and cost-plus-fixed-fee contract. 

The award will provide for the remediation services of sites at Longhorn Army Ammunition Plant, Karnack, Texas. 

Work will be performed in Karnack, with an estimated completion date of Sept. 30, 2017.

 Eight bids were solicited, with two bids received. 

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Tulsa, Oklahoma, handled the contract.
