Texas Business reports: DALLAS—SPM Communications adde Austin-based Stubb's Legendary Kitchen, makers of Stubb's barbecue sauces, rubs and marinades, to its client roster.
SPM, a 13-year-old Dallas-based PR firm with expertise in food, retail and restaurant brands, represents national and regional clients including Chipotle Mexican Grill, Michaels Stores, Whataburger, CiCi's Pizza, Van's Natural Foods and Bruegger's.
Stubb's is the nation's is available in 85 percent of the nation's grocery stores.
SPM worked with Stubb's on the barbecue leader's “Feed the World Tour” 2009-2010, and was named agency of record at the end of 2011. The agency's first project is to promote new products in the all-natural, gluten-free line.
“Stubb's has a lot of news to tell in 2012, and we were looking for a PR partner that understands and is passionate about our brand,” said Stubb’s chief executive Matt Gase in a prepared statement. “SPM has shown us that they know who we are and can tell our stories in a way that is true to the Stubb's brand.”
