Dallas Firm Wins $46.8 Million All-Weather, Day or Night Vision Device Contract

Texas Business reports:  A Dallas firm won a $46.8 million contract for night and day vision devices, the U.S. Department of Defense announced.  

DRS RSTA Inc. of Dallas, received a $46,885,212 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for the Improved Night/Day Observation Device (INOD) Block III thermal clip-on devices. 

The INOD requirement is to provide an all-weather, low-light/no-light capability. 

Contract funds in the amount of $1,500,000 will be obligated at time of contract award. 

Work will be performed in Dallas, Texas, and is expected to complete June 2017. 

Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. 

This contract was competitively procured via Federal Business Opportunities website, with four offers received. 

The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane, Ind. handled the contract.
