El Paso Firm Wins $19.4 Mississippi Army Barracks Contract

Texas Business reports:  An El Paso firm won a $19.4 million contract to build an army barracks, the U.S. Department of Defense announced.

Hunt Building Company Ltd. of El Paso received a $19,471,900 firm-fixed-price contract. 

The award will provide for the construction services for an enlisted personnel barracks complex.

 Work will be performed in Fort Leonard Wood, Mississippi, with an estimated completion date of Feb. 11, 2014. 

The bid was solicited through the internet, with three bids received. 

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City, Miss., handled the contract.
