Texas Business reports:  Amarillo—Exterra Energy Inc. gave an update on its intent to merge with a qualified merger candidate.

“We have reviewed several potential merger candidates since we last announced our intentions to merge Exterra Energy, Inc., with a company with greater assets and revenues,” said chairman Robert Royal in a prepared statement. “We have narrowed our search to a few merger candidates and are completing joint due diligence. We are confident that when a merger candidate is chosen it is believed the combined companies would generate revenues and contain assets to take the company to the next level and maximize shareholder value.”

“Our intent is to bring into the company additional oil and gas assets and professionals to the management team which will help fuel our long term growth,” Royal said.

Exterra Energy Inc. is an oil and gas exploration production company based in Amarillo with a field Office in Parker County.  Exterra is primarily active in the development, acquisition and operations of oil & gas properties.
