Fort Hood Awards $100 Million Contract To Virginia Firm

Texas Business reports:  A Virginia firm won a $100 million contract to provide support for the mission command center at Fort Hood, the U.S. Department of Defense announced.

 Northrop Grumman Technical Services, Inc., Herndon, Va., received a $100,545,899 firm-fixed-price contract. 

The award will provide for the support services for the Mission Command Training Center, Fort Hood, Texas, and its supported installations. 

Work will be performed in Fort Hood, Texas, with an estimated completion date of March 22, 2013. 

Twelve bids were solicited, with four bids received. 

The U.S. Army Mission and Installation Command, Fort Hood, Texas, handled the contract.
