Texas Business reports: A Fort Worth firm won a $9.1 million contract to update the Patriot Missile rocket motors.

Lockheed Martin Corp. of Grand Prairie received a $9,134,000 cost-plus-fixed-fee contract. 

This award will provide for the elimination of obsolete material in the PATRIOT Advanced Capability-3 and missile segment enhancement solid rocket motor. 

Work is to be performed in Grand Prairie with an estimated completion date of Nov. 30, 2013. 

One bid was solicited and one bid was received.

The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Aviation and Missile Command Contracting Center of Huntsville, Alabama handled the contract.
