Greenville's L3 Wins $12.5 Million Used Aircraft Contract

Texas Business reports:  A Greenville company won a $12.5 million contract to supply four used aircraft for the military, according to the U.S. Department of Defense. 

L-3 Communications Corp., Mission Integration Division, Greenville, Texas, received a $12,541,126 firm-fixed-price contract for the procurement of four used King Air Model 350 basic aircraft platforms for the U.S. Army, including Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 integrated avionics systems. 

Work will be performed in Greenville, Texas, and is expected to be completed in August 2012. 

Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. 

This contract was not competitively procured pursuant to federal regulations. 

The Naval Air Warfare Center, Lakehurst, N.J., handled the contracting activity.
