Hurst's Bell Helicopter Textron Wins $10.8 Million Aircraft Repair Order

Texas Business reports:  A Hurst firm won a $10.8 million order for navy aircraft repairs, the U.S. Department of Defense announced.

Bell Helicopter Textron Inc., Hurst, Texas, received a not-to-exceed $10,883,860 order for under a previously awarded contract (N00383-09-D-003N) for repair coverage of 66 items required to support the UH-1Y and AH-1Z aircraft. 

Work will be performed in Hurst and is expected to be completed by June 29, 2013. 

The applicable Navy Working Capital Funds will not expire by the end of the current fiscal year. 

One company was solicited for the non-competitive requirement and one offer was received in response to the solicitation.

NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support, Philadelphia, Pa., handled the contract.
