Leander Firm Wins Another U.S. Air Force Fuel Management Contract

Texas Business reports:  Defense Contract Services, Inc. of Leander won a $10.1 million fuel management contract to be performed in Florida, the U.S. Department of Defense announced today.

The Leander company is being awarded a maximum $10,114,156 firm fixed price, total set aside contract for fuel management services. 

The location of performance, besides Leander, is Florida.

The U.S. Air Force is using the service. 

The date of performance completion is September 30, 2013. 

There were fourteen responses to the original proposal solicited.

The Defense Logistics Agency Energy of Fort Belvoir, Virginia handled the contract.

The award comes a week after the Leander firm won $6.5 fuel management contract to Randolph Air Force Base.  Randolph Air Force Base is located in Universal City near San Antonio. It has been used as an aircraft training base since 1930. The Defense Logistics Agency of Fort Belvoir, Virginia also handled that contract.
