Missouri Firm Wins $28 Million Fort Sam Houston Contract

Texas Business reports: A Missouri firm won a $28.2 million contract to build a health building at Fort Sam Houston, the U.S. Department of Defense.

J.E. Dunn Construction Co. of Kansas City, Mo. received a $28,290,770 firm-fixed-price contract. 

The award will provide for the construction of an addition to the Nutritional Care Department of the San Antonio Military Medical Center – North Campus. 

Work will be performed in Fort Sam Houston, Texas, with an estimated completion date of June 2, 2014. 

The bid was solicited through the Internet, with 12 bids received. 

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth, Texas, won the contract.
