Ohio Firm Buys Texas Property And Casualty Broker Stoltz and Company

Texas Business reports: CLEVELAND—CBIZ Inc. acquired the assets of Stoltz and Company LTD LLP of Midland, Texas.

With operations in Midland, San Antonio and Amarillo, , Stoltz and Company was founded by Mark A. Stoltz in 1990.

Stoltz and Company is an established southwest regional insurance broker specializing in multiple insurance products and services including property and casualty insurance, personal lines and employee benefits, and specializes in oil and gas related risk management. The acquisition of Stoltz and Company will add 13 employees and is expected to add $3.2 million in annualized revenue to CBIZ.

“The acquisition of Stoltz and Company is an important step in building out our national property and casualty footprint as well as expanding our presence in both the captive risk and energy markets,” said CBIZ chief executive Steven L. Gerard in a prepared statement. “Mark and his group have an excellent reputation in the southwest and we look forward to growing our business together. We are particularly eager to provide property and casualty products to our clients in this region.”
