San Antonio Firm Wins $16 Million Reserve Center Construction Contract

Texas Business reports: A San Antonio firm won a $16 million contract to build a Florida reserve center, the U.S. Department of Defense announced.

Blackhawk-Jamco, a SDVOB JV San Antonio, Texas, received a $16,009,000 firm-fixed-price contract.

The award will provide for the construction of an Army Reserve Center at West Palm Beach, Fla. 

Work will be performed in West Palm Beach, Fla., with an estimated completion date of Aug. 30, 2013. 

The bid was solicited through the Internet, with six bids received. 

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville, Ky., handled the contract.
