San Antonio Firm Wins $6.8 Million Government IT Support Contract That Could More Than Double

Texas Business reports:    A Bexar County firm won a $6.8 million contract for Homeland Security IT support, the U.S. Department of Defense announced.

VRC Inc. of San Antonio won a $6,882,359 firm-fixed-price, definite-quantity contract for information technology support services in support of the Center for Homeland Defense and Security, Naval Postgraduate School.

 This contract contains two one-year option provisions, which, if exercised, will bring the contract value to $20,910,845. 

Work will be performed at Monterey, Calif., and is expected to be completed April 30, 2015. 

The applicable Operations, Maintenance, and Navy funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. 

This contract was competitively procured via the Federal Business Opportunities website, with one offer received in response to the solicitation.

 The NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support, Mechanicsburg, Pa., handled the contract.
