San Antonio Firm Wins $7.8 Million Military Disability Evaluation Contract

Texas Business reports:  A San Antonio firm won a $7.8 million contract to assess degrees of military disability, the U.S. Department of Defense announced.

Professional Performance Development Group Inc. of  San Antonio received a $7,831,941 firm-fixed-price contract.

The award will provide for the service to perform integrated disability evaluation system narrative summaries at four military treatment facilities. 

Work will be performed in Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash.; Fort Bliss, Texas; Fort Carson, Colo.; and Fort Riley, Kan.; with an estimated completion date of July 17, 2015.

The bid was solicited through the Internet, with 20 bids received. 

The U.S. Army Medical Command, Tacoma, Wash., handled the contract.
