San Antonio's Blackhawk Constructors Wins $30 Million Navy Construction Contract

Texas Business reports:  A San Antonio firm received a $30 million contract to rebuild and renovate projects in the Northwestern United States for the U.S. Navy, the U.S. Department of Defense announced.

Blackhawk Constructors LLC received a maximum amount $30,000,000 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity construction contract for renovation, repair, replacement, alteration, and minor construction services for projects at various locations within the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Northwest area of responsibility (AOR). 

No task orders are being issued at this time. 

Work will be performed primarily within the NAVFAC Northwest AOR, which includes Washington (94 percent), Oregon (2 percent), Alaska (1 percent), Idaho (1 percent), Montana (1 percent), and Wyoming (1 percent). 

The term of the contract is not to exceed 36 months with an expected completion date of March 2015. 

Contract funds in the amount of $30,000 are obligated on this award and will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. 

This contract was competitively procured via the Navy Electronic Commerce Online website, with 12 proposals received. 

The Naval Facilities Engineering Command Northwest, Silverdale, Washington handled the contract.
