San Antonio's Valero Wins $571 Million Military Fuel Contract

 Texas Business reports:  A San Antonio firm won a $571 million military fuel contract, the U.S. Department of Defense announced.

Valero Marketing and Supply Co. of San Antonio, Texas, received the contract, which is a fixed price with economic price adjustment, indefinite delivery and indefinite quantity contract with a maximum $571,935,630 for fuel. 

Other locations of performance are in Texas City and Corpus Christi, Texas. 

Using service is Defense Logistics Agency Energy. 

There were twenty-seven responses to the web solicitation. 

Type of appropriation is fiscal 2012 Defense Working Capital Funds.  

The date of performance completion is Sept. 30, 2013. 

The Defense Logistics Agency Energy, Fort Belvoir, Va., handled the contract.
